I was going to do the Time Trial with the students but got there an hour early so rather than wait around for official timing decided to do it on my own instead.

The trails were pretty wet but good. Got to the bottom of the mark of Zorro in 17 minutes and then did OK on the leg-burner, although I did go a little too hard at the start so was really feeling it by the end.

Got it all wrong on the little bits of single-track above the road to the east of Llyn Blaenmelindwr so lost a bit of time there but did manage to beat my target of 45 minutes with a total time of 44 mins 45 secs.

How some of them do it in 33 minutes I don't know!

As I was packing up the others (about 7 of them) were heading off for an official loop of the Time Trial course.
